THE CHALLENGE

Compass is Dattner Grant’s signature leadership and development program created in response to the compelling need for a greater representation of women in leadership. This transformative leadership course for women runs nationally - elevating the voices of women in all aspects of their life so they can be the leaders of their life and not have life lead them. Always fearless in the face of a challenge, we were excited to get started. Our key objective was to develop a flexible brand platform that was compatible with the existing sister brands Homeward Bound and Dattner Grant with the ability to attract a demographic of professional business women.

THE SOLUTION

The symbolism needed to speak to women, be timeless and could focus on utilising a contemporary interpretation of a compass. For the best compatibility with sister brands a feminine and earthy icon was paired with a serious and bold wordmark to create the Visual Identity. With the primary logo solidified this left the field wide open to express the compass brand in regard to color, texture, and implementation. With a range of neutral tones, geometric lines and custom patterns we have created a flexible brand platform that is sure to evolve over time while remaining culturally relevant.
